Finalizing My Cover and Entire Magazine

Finalizing My Cover and Entire Magazine

This is my final blog and it's time I reached the end of this journey. Before I get into each aspect of my magazine and this overall journey, I want to acknowledge how great Blogger has been for me. It allows me to update my progress and serve as a physical reflection of my analysis on taking notes from the pros and each revision of my creative portfolio. My cover revision is the last thing to be submitted for its final check-up, and then the whole magazine will be submitted.

To start off, the changes in my cover that I have made is to edit the typography and the coloring. I need thicker words, so that any obstructing light from the background does not interfere with the visibility of my preview cover pages. The anchorage text that explains the main focal photo was painted in a neon pink color that matches the clothing: this helps the text stand out and contrast with the dark floor. I also made the
vintage timestamp a little smaller and placed it in the corner, giving it the authentic look if my magazine photo was taken on a real camera. Lastly, I just messed with the preview pages and its spacing on the right alongside the dreamy-look filter I added over my cover.

For the other pages, there weren't many changes to my table of contents. I have recently made a blog where my contents was designed with stars in the background and a clear theme defining subhead that signified making moments. Overall, I feel pretty satisfied and I think that if you look at my contents page, read its title and contents on the left alongside the "photo album" on the right: you'd be able to understand that my
magazine is about nostalgia or memories.

The most recent blog I did on my final double-page spread didn't include the other set of stars in the background. Consequently, this theme of stars can be a symbol of nostalgia and harmonize with the table of contents page. I also added a small visual of photo frames filling the white space on the bottom left side which again correlates to the main idea of the page: importance of making memories. Lastly, I readjusted the spacing and sizing of the content text, so that it is easier to read and no white space.

If there is anything else to change, then I will do it before the final submission for all pages of my portfolio. However, I can say that I am alright with the results and I'll do what I must.
