Expressing my Gratitude for AICE Media

Expressing my Gratitude for AICE Media

Thanksgiving is coming real soon, and it is a special day where people appreciate what they have before the year ends. I want to dedicate this blog to celebrating all of the skills that I've learned while doing my blogs and creating my portfolio. When I first started this class, I did not know certain terminology such as, masthead or puff, until I did the scavenger cover hunt. I strongly appreciate that some photography and film techniques were explained in class. I’m very glad that I maintained and have an A in this class. I have a teacher that critiques and provides feedback on our works and other popular magazines, allowing us to excel brightly for the exam. I’m blessed to have been given an opportunity to design a magazine with outstanding visuals, captivating headlines, and texts.

I also learned how to use Canva to create my magazine cover and plan out my double-page spread. I’m glad that I have access to materials like InDesign or Canva to create a compelling portfolio. There are also past examples of magazine designs given to us by our teacher. I look forward to doing better on my table of contents in the future similarly to my rough draft magazine. This class allows me to think critically and develop a piece of media as if I were an editor. By enhancing my magazine pieces every day, I learn to appreciate the effects that media has on society. This component of the AICE MEDIA course is a significant and beneficial class that should certainly be recommended to other candidates.
