Composing a Structure for my Double-Page Spread

Composing a Structure for my Double-Page Spread

This blog is merely to show my structure for my page spread. Similarly to the blog where I contemplated my rough draft cover and then provided a quick design that I did on Canva, I want to do the same thing for my double-page spread. After seeing different styles from the pros, I'm dead set on keeping a consistent theme of memories. I want to show people enjoying their memories. Based on my cover, the content could either be from 2012, birthday stories, or photos from a class field trip at a theme park. I already know that the inside must keep a consistent theme of dark colors such as the purple and magenta as well as some white to brighten the look.

I might structure my magazine with the style of a main picture on the left of the page and add two more photos on the right. Then, I may border the middle of my double page spread in a similar fashion to a magazine such as Reminisce or GOOD OLD DAYS. However, my mind still runs blank on whether I should add a game, fun facts, or an extra column story on my double page spread. There are so many ideas and designs that I can implement.  I can either make my magazine styled exactly how I mentioned above or have a main figure cut out and stretch over both sides of the page to make a dynamic effect.

This process takes a lot of time to think and I must decide on what to do instantly as the deadline is cutting close. I will need to focus on improving the content and carefully deciding the right photo. I mentioned before that the color scheme will need to be consistent; however, I am not sure if there should be a white background inside of the page. The header will also have to match and make sense with the whole page.

Here's an example of my practice round of a double-page spread:
